Event Title:
IRCITE 2024
I. Details of the event/activity
IRCITE 2024 took place on March 8, 2024, under the auspices
of the Philippine Society of Information Technology Education (PSITE) Region
III. The event comprised seminars and competitions centered on diverse facets
of information technology education. These competitions encompassed Technical
Content Writing, Digital Arts, Video Editing, I.T. Marketing, Paper
Presentation, Microsoft Office Specialist Challenge, ICP iThink Hackathon, and
Cosplay Competition, attracting enthusiastic participation from students.
Throughout the day, attendees enjoyed engaging in friendly competition,
networking opportunities, and learning from industry experts, fostering a
collaborative spirit and academic excellence.
II. Reflections on the webinar/activity giving rise to
(learnings)
The event yielded valuable insights into the significance of
embracing innovation and collaboration within the realm of information
technology. Participants gleaned lessons on dismantling barriers and fostering
change through global innovation, knowledge, engineering, and research centered
on diversity. Additionally, the event underscored the importance of practical
skills development and creative thinking in today's technology-driven
landscape.
III. Reflections on possibilities for implementing some of
the webinar input on a practical level (practical application of learning)
Various avenues exist for translating the insights garnered
from the event into practical applications. For instance, students can apply
their newfound knowledge and skills in technical content writing, digital arts,
and video editing to real-world projects. Moreover, the event facilitated
networking and collaboration opportunities, which students can leverage to
enrich their educational and professional pursuits.
IV. Positive feedback (on the event organization)
The event was commendably organized, offering a seamless
experience for participants. The diverse array of competitions and seminars
catered to a wide range of interests within the field of information technology
education. Furthermore, the event fostered a supportive and inclusive
